Stop Anorexia

Imagine No More Worry or Food Obsessions

Anorexia is a serious eating disorder affecting mostly women.

The National Institute of Mental Health estimates 0.5 to 3.7 percent of women will suffer from this disorder at some point in their lives.

A Constant Worry and Obsessive Behavior that restricting or avoiding certain foods will provide a greater sense of control in one's life - does not work. Clearly, this is a stressful way to live!

More Than a Food Issue - an inability to eat well-balanced meals, avoiding food and severe weight loss creates serious health conditions like:

  • Depression
  • Anemia and Other Nutritional Deficiencies
  • Dehydration, Dizziness and Constipation
  • Osteoporosis
  • High Risk for Cardiac Arrest or Heart Failure

In Truth, anorexia is self-imposed starvation with a 10% mortality rate!

The Good News! You must know there are treatment options for anorexia.

Anorexia
A Wellness Approach in 3 Steps

A Wellness Approach means that I offer these suggestions as a way for you to take an active role in your ability to promote good health.

This is NOT a substitute for sound medical advice which I strongly suggest you obtain. My role is a supportive, wellness coach.

Step One: Change Your Belief System

Understand the Power of Your Thoughts. Thoughts are energy, just like everything else in this world. We attract everything that happens in our life - frequent, similar thoughts develop into strong belief systems, emotions and actions that create predictable outcome.

It’s Called the Law of Attraction which suggests that your physical reality manifests itself from thoughts and feelings.

I Love This Quote from Nikos Kazantzakis, one of the most important Greek writers, poets & philosophers of the 20th century:

“By believing passionately in that which does not exist,
we create it. That which is nonexistent
has not been sufficiently desired.”

Turning from Anorexia to a healthier state of nourishment and well-being demands that our thoughts, feelings and actions remain aligned with our ultimate desire for happiness.

No Worry, No Obsessions!

The Main Thing is to develop a well-balanced lifestyle by expressing unconditional love; offering forgiveness to others; avoiding toxic situations and people plus getting enough rest.

Healthy Habits Produce a Healthy Life.

Life is Short, Enjoy It!

Let’s Get Started! According to Dr. Herbert Benson,M.D., a pioneer in Mind-Body Medicine, chronic stress is a contributing factor to most illness.

Try Meditation

I offer you my morning meditation or find another one that helps you feel better prepared for the coming day.

I Thank, I Accept, I Surrender.
In Front of You, You the Universe, You the Cosmos,
You the Guiding Hand, G-D.
A Living G-D, the G-D of all Existence.
You Have Returned and Restored My Living Essence.
My Consciousness of this Coming Day within Me.
As a Consequence of Your Beneficence, Mercy and Goodness.
Great is Your Faith in Me and I Will Not Let You Down.
And I Will Not Let My Family Down,
and I Will Not Let Me Friends Down,
and I Will Not Let the Stranger Down.
And in That Way, I Will Not Let You Down.

Say This Meditation slowly every morning - repeat as needed for 10 to 20 minutes - for at least 1 month to understand its importance in developing a healthy outlook on life.

Step Two: Develop an Action Plan

Write Down Your Dreams. What do you ultimately desire? Is it Love; a peaceful home; a successful career; caring relationships or helping others? Think carefully; write it down & BE SPECIFIC.

Develop Daily, Monthly & Yearly Goals. Be sure your actions support your goals and dreams.

Keep a Journal. For the first month or so, you may want to record everything you do on an hourly basis. Be as specific as you can. Upon review, your journal will give you deeper insight into you and your behaviors.

Surround Yourself with Positive, Supportive People. Talk with them EVERY DAY!

Review Your Goals with a licensed health care professional.

Step Three: Change Your Habits

Healthy Habits are created in 21 to 30 consecutive days.

Nutritional Guidelines

Focus on well-balanced, nutrient rich foods that are delicious & easy to digest. Steam, boil, sautι or pressure-cook your food.

Eat Organic Food as much as possible to avoid unwanted toxins. For example, grass-fed beef, wild salmon, organic eggs, fruits and vegetables.

Limit Fast Foods for obvious reasons. Poor quality food equals poor quality health.

Eat Slowly; Chew Well and Eat 5 times per day.

Enjoy three meals and two snacks per day.

Exercise & Lifestyle Guidelines

Exercise, no more that 10 minutes at a time, at a mild – comfortable level. If your energy is low…just sit in the sun for a few minutes at a time, several times per day.

Try Yoga – but avoid strenuous positions.

Read motivational books; listen to relaxing music; create healthy thoughts about you & others.

Let Go of emotional pressures and upset.

Get Regular Massage therapy treatments. Self massage entire thumb area 10 minutes per day.

Do This Right Away!
