Good Health and Nutrition
Improve the Quality of Your Life

How Do You Define Good Health?

Good health and nutrition is like wine to grapes,
you can’t have one without the other.

According to the World Health Organization, good health is “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

Our Diet is the Key to Good Health

The science is clear and the results are undeniable!

Understand The Basics of Good Nutrition

Listen to the Experts!

Hippocrates, the father of medicine, said it best...

“Let food by thy medicine and thy medicine food.”

In the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, Government Commissions and Professional Associations developed dietary guidelines calling for the substantial reduction of saturated fats, cholesterol, sugar and highly-processed foods coupled with an increased consumption of fruits, vegetables and other natural foods for good health.

The China Study produced more than 8,000 statistically significant associations between various dietary factors and disease.

Dr. T Colin Campbell respected health researcher and director of the China Study said:

“As a taxpayer who foots the bill for research and health policy in America, you deserve to know that many of the common notions you have been told about food, health and disease are wrong.”

Ayurveda, the traditional medicine of India, dating back nearly 5,000 years, states:

“The use of beneficial food is the only cause of growth of a person, while the use of food that is injurious is the cause of disease.”

Moses Maimonides, one of the greatest physicians of all time said:

“The bread should be made of coarse flour; that is to say, the husk should not be removed and the bran should not be refined by sifting. This is the bread that to the physician is properly prepared; it is the best of foods.”

We can only hope that Wonder Bread will get this message!

Does Genetics or Lifestyle Control Your Health?

Genetic Believers think good health and nutrition have little to do with each other. In fact, these people tend to feel victimized and blame poor genetics for their weight issues or tendency toward particular conditions, such as heart disease.

An Old Myth A genetically-controlled destiny is an out-dated, western medical belief that our genes control the probability of illness, disease, good health and even how happy or depressed we get in our life.

The False Notion would have us believe that we are born a certain way, our body breaks down as a normal process of living and health problems can only be solved by way of drugs or surgery.

Lifestyle Believers, in the field of science and medicine, do not separate health and nutrition. Did you know that scientists have discovered over 100 genes associated with the development of heart disease alone? But, for these genes to express themselves, they need a “trigger” like our diet.

We Are Truly What We Eat

Genetics and Our Future! Scientists have discovered that our DNA, over time, can be altered with changes in our diet. Our genetic tendencies for diabetes, cardiac problems or poor immune function are a manifestation of poor health and nutrition habits.

Generations of people eating poorly create even greater probabilities for disease.

Bottom Line, good nutrition is a worthy, life-long pursuit to ensure a higher quality of life.
