Natural Remedies for Allergies

Did You Know that natural remedies for allergies are highly effective, safe methods for treating your condition? I hope you find this page easy to read, filled with helpful information and inspires you to take action!

You Can learn about some natural remedies for allergies, (lower down on this page) but first ...

What is an Allergy?

Simply Put… an allergy is sensitivity to a particular substance which, in similar quantity, is tolerated by non-allergic people. The allergen is the specific protein substance that a person is allergic to. The presence of an allergen in the body causes a series of chemical reactions in the immune system which creates individual symptoms.

The tendency to be allergic can be genetic, (inherited) but an actual allergy may not be inherited.

Three Basic Types of Allergies

  • Chemical Sensitivities, Environmental Illness and Drug Reactions
  • Seasonal Hay Fever, Allergic Rhinitis & Respiratory Reactions

  • Food Sensitivities or Intolerance, plus Celiac Disease

What Are Your Symptoms?

Chemical or Environmental Allergies usually give you a feeling of being under the weather. Other symptoms are mental sluggishness; skin rashes; respiratory infections; ringing in the ears; nausea; diarrhea & headaches.

Seasonal Hay Fever Allergies can cause runny, watery, itchy nose & eyes; sneezing and coughing attacks; dark circles under the eyes that don't go away with sleep; irritated throat; asthma; insomnia; menstrual and even learning disorders.

Food Allergies may cause itchy, watery eyes; blurred vision; Crohn's Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome or diarrhea; headaches; low thyroid function and osteoarthritis.

Our Immune System...

Keep us healthy by producing disease-fighting antibodies. Antibodies are capable of destroying harmful foreign substances like viruses and bacteria that cause disease. In people with allergies, these antibodies are OVER stimulated and react to normally harmless substances, such as, the air we breathe; the food we eat or the things we touch. Any substance can trigger an allergic reaction.

What Causes an Allergy?..

Over Exposure to environmental substances, such as, dry cleaning products; chlorine; plastic food containers; perfumes; household cleaning products; auto exhaust; smoke; pesticides around your property or in your food can cause allergies.

In addition, substances like, pollen, mold or other allergens react with excess mucous and waste accumulation in the body; low adrenal function; stress; free radical damage which hampers the body's ability to produce antihistamines; poor liver function; hypoglycemia and yeast overgrowth.

Changing your environment will help create an opportunity for improved health.
