How Do You Define Spiritual Wellness?
Spiritual Wellness is living life in perfect balance within our body, mind and spirit. It’s an understanding that we are spiritual beings - having a human experience, rather than a human being having occasional spiritual feelings.
Spiritual Wellness is a realization, within our consciousness, that all of us are connected to a single source of creation.
This Source of Creation has been given many names: God, Universe, Cosmos, Source Energy, Pure Consciousness or Divine Intelligence. We experience spiritual wellness when our thoughts, emotions and actions are aligned with love, compassion, joy, knowledge, freedom, appreciation, passion, happiness, positive belief, optimism & hope.
Finding Meaning in Life
- Who Are We?
- Where Do We Come From?
- What is Our Purpose in Life?
- Where Are We Going?
To answer these four questions is to find meaning in our life.

Science Reveals Our True Nature
Every Time We Breathe in, we take in oxygen. But on an even smaller level, quantum mechanics teaches us that oxygen is composed of wave-like, particles of energy. It is this type of energy that helps create our entire body. When we breathe out, we remove bits and pieces of our physical being. Just by the simple act of breathing, we all share atoms or particles of energy with each other. So as you can see from breathing alone, we are all connected. In fact, studies show that we replace 98% of all the atoms in our body in less than one year. You are not the same person you were 12 months ago! - We make a new liver every 6 weeks
- Our skeleton changes every 3 months
- We develop a new stomach lining every 5 Days
- New skin forms once every month
Everything Physical Changes... But Our Spiritual Essence Remains the Same
Dr. Deepak Chopra, M.D., one of the world’s greatest leaders of mind-body medicine says:"Pay attention to that unchanging part of yourself. It is perfect. At the source of life, and only there, one finds peace, harmony, and the undisturbed contentment of bliss."
A Quantum Physicist would tell us that our body is made up of atoms or particle waves of fluctuating energy that move at the speed of light around huge empty spaces. These particles appear and disappear from a field of pure potentiality. This field of pure potentiality is a non-physical, unifying field of endless possibilities that gives rise to all physical matter – including our human body.
Truth Is... Our body is actually 99% empty space. Our senses do not tell us the whole story. Who are we? We are spiritual beings interacting within a field of pure potentiality. Where do we come from? Our Creator, a blissful place where endless possibilities exist. What is our purpose in life? To Love life, give freely of ourselves and show compassion. Where are we going? To a higher level of consciousness, through our thoughts, feelings and actions, we express our desire to connect with our creator.
Spiritual Wellness Starts in Our Mind
The New, Emerging Science of quantum mechanics teaches us that our mind and body develop from a unified field of pure potentiality. This spiritual (non-physical) intelligence gives birth to all energy vibrations. Higher vibrations are associated with healthy thoughts. Lower vibrations are related to illness and disease.
Max Planck, Nobel Prize-winning Father of Quantum Theory said:
“All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind. This Mind is the matrix of all matter.”
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of Transcendental Meditation, says:
“All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think, we become.”
Dr. Bruce Lipton, Ph.D., internationally known cellular biologist, said:
“This new perspective of human biology does not view the body as just a mechanical device, but rather incorporates the roles of a mind and spirit. This breakthrough is fundamental in all healing because it recognizes that when we change our perception or beliefs we send totally different messages to our cells, causing a reprogramming of their expression.”
Strengthen Your Mind to Strengthen Your Body
Dr. Andrew Newberg, M.D. (specializing in brain imagery research) has shown that during Yoga and Meditation there is an increase in the activity of the pre-frontal cortex of our brain. This area of the brain is associated with love, creativity and conscious thought.Dr. Newberg concludes that being involved in mind-body activities, such as yoga and meditation can reduce the risk of depression, heart disease and improve the immune system. Can you really learn a mind-body technique that improves brain function, develops a positive mindset and creates spiritual wellness? Yes!
